Accident Waiver and Release of Liability

I understand that participating in the EDGE3 Retreat (the “Event”) involves physical, emotional, and environmental risks. These may include, but are not limited to: terrain, weather, ferry transportation, sleeping onsite, shared meals, physical activities (like yoga, hiking, swimming, or breathwork), and being around others in a group setting. I accept full responsibility for my wellbeing during the Event and knowingly assume all risks, including the risk of injury, illness, loss, or even death. I also understand that my participation is voluntary and that I can choose what feels right for me at any time. I release and hold harmless EDGE3, its directors, staff, contractors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or liability arising from my participation, including those related to negligence, property damage, illness, or injury of any kind. I understand that some activities may be led by third parties or participants, and I release EDGE3 from responsibility for services provided by anyone not directly employed or contracted by EDGE3. I know that shared meals and potluck contributions may be part of this retreat. I take full responsibility for my food choices and any dietary needs, allergies, or sensitivities I may have. I understand that EDGE3 is not responsible for managing or preventing adverse reactions to food. I recognize that attending a group event may include exposure to COVID-19 or other contagious illnesses. I accept this risk and take responsibility for my own health and safety. If needed, I consent to receive appropriate medical treatment in the event of an emergency while at the Event. I understand that photos or video may be taken during the retreat and grant EDGE3 and its affiliates permission to use my image for documentation or promotional purposes. If any part of this waiver is found invalid, the rest remains effective. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and any legal matters will be handled in that jurisdiction. I confirm that I’ve read this waiver, understand its contents, and am signing it voluntarily.
