Everyone has a voice no matter where they sit on the team and they feel comfortable sharing their opinion in a healthy debate. They know that conflict isn’t a bad thing, because even if they don’t agree with a decision, they feel their perspective has been heard. Like geese flying in a V formation, there is always someone to fill in the gap or take the lead. Quite simply, someone has always got your back.
What we do
We work to build cohesive teams. When a team has absolute clarity of values and best practices, it creates an environment of shared understanding, and mutual respect. We then work to build trust, commitment, and accountability through open dialogue, which in turn drives results. There are no trust falls here, but rather a facilitated conversation to deepen connections, allowing the team to share thoughts, opinions, and ideas with one another.
How we do it
As your Team Coach, we begin by learning about you and your business to gain clarity on the outcomes you would like to see. And we take care to always:
- Support you by identifying your values and create clarity on how those values translate into actions. Ultimately, we build shared understanding;
- Create opportunities for team members to challenge one another, and from there, build deeper and deeper trust;
- Support discussions to build processes that create shared ownership and accountability;
- Create forums for healthy conflict and debate; tapping into what will lead to greater connection; and
- Strive for cohesion, not group-think.
When you celebrate and capitalize on each team member’s individual strengths, you are one step closer to becoming a high performing team.

Lumency: Building Leaders for Today and Tomorrow
Lumency Inc., a client-side sponsorship and experiential marketing agency, has been a client since 2012, recently winning the 2017 PRISM Award for coaching excellence from the International Coach Federation.
Over the past five years, coaching has become an integral tool for empowering the team, driving culture, and growing great talent. As part of their rigorous hiring process, one of the coaches takes a coach approach to interviewing candidates to determine their cultural fit and exiting team members participate in an exit interview to understand how the organization can better retain talent.
Culture is the operating system that has enabled us to grow from 5 to 50 team members in 5 years, and coaching is one of the primary drivers of our culture."
Initially EDGE3 began supporting Lumency when a single team member received coaching. Through this process the Executive Leadership Team realized the impact coaching could have on ALL team members. Through their monthly sessions team members can work through conflict, determine next steps, gain clarity, create action plans, and drive their development plans forward.
The coaching team also supports Lumency by providing Leadership Feedback (an Interview-based 360 degree feedback tool), strength discovery tools, meeting facilitation, the development of a four part skill building program, and a quarterly book club. A team that learns together…stays together.
